The Pacific Coast Association of Health Care Recruiters (PCAHCR) is a community-based group of professionals whose primary interest is healthcare recruitment. We invite individuals affiliated with acute care hospitals, HMOs and long-term care, as well as media, communications and schools of nursing, to join us and become members of PCAHCR.
President’s Message
Hello and welcome to the PCAHCR web site. It excites me to know that you are thinking about joining our chapter.
Our group started in 2000 as the "Orange County Recruiters Group," formed by Barbara Bohlig. I was one of the first members to join and have found it to be a very rewarding group to be involved with. In August of 2005, the group put it to a vote and decided to become an official NAHCR Chapter.
As health care recruiters, we are challenged by the ever-changing needs of our organizations and the scarcity of candidates. We provide consultation to our organizations with regard to recruitment, retention and workforce planning. By coming together as a group of professionals with a common goal, we are able to network, draw on each other’s strengths and be a resource to our community.
